2015 is here!

Happy New Year! Another year is under way, it always seems to come around so quickly and catch us unawares! I love the new start that each January brings and am full of intentions and ideas for the year, hopefully some of them will make it to this blog over the coming weeks. For now, here are a few things which are inspiring me at the moment.

Workspace wednesday

I used to be one lucky girl and have a whole room allocated for my craft room/office, but earlier this year we moved our older daughter into that space, to give her some space from her younger sister, so I was ousted from my room. I now have a corner of our bedroom, which thankfully is large, so I can fit in. It mainly consists of a white ikea desk and a white expedit 8 cube unit and various storage boxes. I do tend to get messy while I work, but it's a creative mess I like to think.

Where do you spend your creative time? Are you luck enough to have your own space? One day I would love a studio of some kind, but for now I'll enjoy my little corner.

Magazine commissions

Sometimes its funny working for magazines, as they work quite a few months in advance so you very often end up working on Christmas projects in the summer and springtime projects in the winter. But it is great fun and I love working with them. Here are a few commissions which have now been published so I can post photos of them.

These projects are from Scrapbook Magazine, Craftseller and Quick Cards magazine, all lovely mags with great content.

Here's to a fun and happy 2014, but also a year with meaning, time spent well, love, family and friends.

Summers gone, but the memories live on

We are now mid way through September, settling back into school and work routines and trying to hold onto the last bits of sun and warmth and flip flop wearing! We had a great summer, good weather, not a lot of boredom and a lovely holiday in France. Here are some pics

a weekend away with friends is good for the soul!

This month

• we should be basking in the sun, sadly we had 5 or 6 lovely days and now the rain has come back to torment us!
• we will be going camping (hopefully in the sun)
• we will be celebrating birthdays
• we will be thinking about our lovely Granfer who passed away two weeks ago and who we said goodbye to yesterday
• adjusting to a new normal without him around and supporting our family through the coming weeks
• I will be going away with my girlfriends for a weekend of talking, eating, walking and catching up by the sea, always a pleasure
• we will be finishing term 5 at school and having a week off
• we will be finishing Y2 SATS testing
• we will be trying to save for a summer holiday
